Affenpinscher
Cheeky and fun
History and General Information of Affenpinscher dog breed
Cheeky and fun, the Affenpinscher is one of the oldest dog breeds in the world – its history stretches back centuries. The Affenpinscher owes its name to its monkey-like facial expression. He is the ancestor of two other breeds: the Belgian Griffon and the Brussels Griffon, whose faces also resemble those of a little monkey. Although as brave as terriers, Affenpinschers are too small to act as working dogs, so they are mainly kept as companion dogs.
The Affenpinscher has a fantastic character, just as one would wish for a small dog: cheeky, affectionate, attentive, eager to learn, watchful and courageous. Nevertheless, he demands his caresses, should you ever forget this item on the agenda. He does not need to be told how to guard his yard, his house, his dwelling. It’s just in his blood.
In this regard, he may need a little education so that he does not take this task too seriously in this day and age. Especially if he lives in an apartment building, he should learn in good time which people belong to the house and who are strangers. Then there are no misunderstandings.
